The HBF 5 Star survey is designed to provide buyers with information about house builders to help guide their purchasing decision, and to encourage excellent levels of service to be delivered by developers nationally.

The customer satisfaction survey is a way of measuring the level of customer service house builders achieve. The scheme is an independently monitored survey of the people who really matter to our industry, our customers. HBF and NHBC (National House-Building Council)launched the latest survey results at an event in London yesterday (Tuesday 26th March).
The HBF national survey of house builders is a self – completion census completed by the purchasers of new homes. They are carried out by NHBC and cover the 12 months from October 2017 to September 2018.
The HBF Star Ratings are independent and based on results of the National New Homes Survey. The survey is operated by the NHBC and is entirely independent of any builder or builder group and is independently validated by Reading University.
